The California Garden Art Collection is a curation of limited series art prints celebrating the beauty of the natural world. While tending to her garden, Miller House’s founder and designer Jennifer Miller started taking note of the plants in her immediate surroundings — native succulents, pittosporum and olive branches, their shapes and organic forms playing in the California light. This contemplative exploration that originated in her backyard, continued along the California coast and into its vineyards. Through this process, Jenny returned to her early love for painting, a life-long practice, meditative and intuitive. Starting with pencil sketches, and working with gouache, she outlines soft contours, capturing color variations and textures. The pieces are visual studies of each element’s anatomy, vivid and alive.
